Voi Weights
Voi (Veiled Poi) is a worship tool that can be coupled with a number of our silks. They are attached to a matching weight on a chain with a swivel handle. These can be used alone or as a pair.
This page allows you to add voi weight(s) to your silk order - these weights are not available for purchase by themselves, and if they are ordered as such you will be refunded. You are WELCOME to make your own weights and I've created a how-to to assist you in doing do.
We purchase most of our voi components from Home of Poi in New Zealand who are considered some of the best in the spinning industry (you'll see their tag in our handles!) - if you decide to try to make them yourself, use the code "Dyed4you" when you checkout and you will get a discount!
The recommended sizes for silks to go with voi are the 35x84 and the 5mm semicircle. Be sure to order your silks when you order your voi weights. So for example, if you want a pair like you see in the image above and to the left, you'll want to order a pair of voi weights and 2 of the 35x84 silks.
Some people have opted to do a wing/voi combo by adding a wing seam to a semicircle and then also getting a voi weight. Here's an example of a single and here's an example of a coordinating pair.
Please note: although the weighted end is padded, it is still heavy and must be used with care! Improper use could injure someone and Dyed4you is not responsible in the event of an accident while using a voi. Use at your own risk
